My roots...

It's always been a belief of mine that your surrounding raise you and build who you are as a person today... and I was lucky enough to have an extremely musically inclined family... my father plays bass guitar, my uncle Peter is an incredible pianist, my grandfather was a drummer.. the music goes back even further... so here are a few clips I just stumbled upon on youtube of some of my family playing music. This is where I come from... this is who I am... a 5th generation musician.. check it out!!

^^ here is my uncle Peter Schimke playing with his trio at the Artist's Quarter in St. Paul, MN.... one of the best pianists today.


Just imagine holiday jam sessions with those two, me on drums and my cousin Matt Harris (ska band The P. Lacquers) on saxophone... interesting combination, but incredible!!

Welcome 2 the Good Lyfe!!

So the blog is finally here.. about time if you ask me!! I finally get to tell you all the juicy details of my life and my climb to the top of the music world.... (oh yeah! its happening, best believe!!)... these last couple weeks have been soo intriguing... I performed at the b96 car show (snapped!)... recorded two records with my guy JC (Block Entertainment in the building!!).. and found out some big news.... in early August ya boy KOB will be performing in Houston for the Ozone Awards, what you know bout that???? Im amped to let yall in on my experiences.. my life at times is like the gag reel of a movie, so look forward to that! I'll be putting up some videos and stuff soon, just gotta get situated, so stay tuned.. until the next episode, same Kob time, same Kob channel :) I'm out like my mixtape!! haha
