Two of the DOPEST!!
Just found this video on WSHH.com.. here are two of my absolute favorite rappers of all time.. I personally think Fabolous and Joe Budden are two of the dopest emcees of all time.. Check this out..
These 2 rappers have had a huge impact and influence on my career... Fab really inspired me to get my bars up back on his first two albums... he's the blueprint for being a mainstream rapper that can be successful and have some real skill... Fab whatup, Joey whatup????
BONUS-
Here's Joey gettin' it in performing "Dumb Out" in Boston.. Find this song, and see how serious it is, proof-in-your-face that Joe Budden's one of the nicest...

Minnesota pro sports... how can you be so heartless??
Vikings.... Ugh..... 24-17?? 7 fumbles... it's a minnesota tradition... having your heart broken by your beloved pro sports team.... the twins... the vikings.. the timberwolves.. it never ends for us.... true, we don't have histories of all out futility like the Chicago Cubs or the Red Sox until 2004... but unlike any other market, ALL minnesotas teams do this shit... It makes it hard to really fall in love with a team and ride with it through thick and thin.... why should I show up when THEY don't, you know?? Oh and the Bears just won... I just hope the Vikes can pull it off against the Giants... but they won't... cuz they're the Vikings. Go figure.

Pitch Perfect!!
Auto-tune.... oh auto-tune... i'm bout to start using it... you know, join the trend... singin ass Kob lol... but fucking A, why did Justin Timberlake use it on the "Can't Believe It" remix.... like.... this dude can actually sing, and auto-tune made him sound so weak... i think it's time that they stopped selling that plugin lol.. its like a virus, maybe it'll die out if we contain it lol... here's a few videos of P.A.A.T. (people against auto-tune lol)..
B.O.B. - "Auto Tune"
T-Pain ft. DJ Khaled - "Karaoke"
I've started to watch this show called "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia".. it's about these friends that run this irish pub in Philly (duh)... the show is funny as hell... but it's so fucked up, lol... i've never seen such morally inept people, i feel dirty as hell just watching it, but you should definitely check it out... oh and of course, go to NBC.com to watch my favorite show.. The Office.
*BONUS VIDEO*
Here's a video of me and a confused (lol) B.O.B. at the TJ's DJ Conference/ Ozone Awards... whatup BOB, whatup Jim Jonsin???
and now to spread the disease...
^^^ that dude is a nerd lol

Timberwolves (laugh out loud!)
So I was in the club tonight right.. it's called Envy, it's downtown on 4th st. and 1st. ave northeast... its my usual spot on a wednesday night... anyways, tonight they had the timberwolves players there and were advertising the shit out of them... and it hit me... athletics is the only job field where you get special treatment when you're terrible. Like the timberwolves for instance... I can't name more that four players on that team.. and I like basketball... but these dudes are in there popping bottles, expecting treatment like they're the shit... when these dudes just got done getting stomped 93-70 by the cavaliers... what are you partying for???? go work on your jump shot or some shit... lol i'm not trying to be rude i'm just sayin, have some dignity... go home and figure out why you're 4-21 or whatever... i've been a fan since childhood... but i don't even watch the games when they HAPPEN to be on... I'd rather watch family guy or robot chickens.... go wolves....

Hmm...
One thing about me... I love to eat... like... alot... I'm big on flavors and spices... anything spicy I usually mess with... I just recently had some bomb spicy chicken dish at Benihanas... it was that deal, does anyone know what that shit is called? I want some lol...
I also like Buffalo wild wings or any boneless spicy chicken wings... there's nothing I'd rather eat lol... I like hot sauces, and try to try as many as I can. I recently bought Tabasco Habanero hot sauce.. it's got a good, smoked taste if you can handle it... it's that deal!!

HAHAHA I think I'm gonna go eat now...

As the world turns...
It's been another whirlwind of a few weeks.. I was in Hawaii for the Hot Import Nights tour (whatup Honolulu??) Dec. 4-6... it was a blast and the weather was beautiful!! It was eerie leaving on Dec. 6th.. the day before the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, and the airport being a half mile away from the site.. it was interesting. Fun fact... General Walter Short (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Short), who was in charge of military installations in Hawaii at the time of the attack, was my great-great uncle... cool, right?
Unfortunately, while in Hawaii, we recieved the sad news that our good friend Jeremy "Slugger" Preston, passed away at the young age of 32.. Slugger was one of the most genuinely friendly and caring people I've ever met, and he touched the lives of anyone he crossed paths with. It's gonna be tough to go through life without getting a phone call of "What's your deal kid?".. He was a happy guy that would've given anything he had to make someone else happy, even someone he barely knew.. Slugger, we love you and miss you bro.... This is for you!!
But out of that sadness, a great thing happened a few days later.. I went to St. Louis and spent three days working with world renowned, grammy-winning, multi-platinum producers The Trak Starz.. If you're not familiar with the Trak Starz, then you should be... they consist of multi-talented producers Zo and Sham as well as a whole roster of other producers under the Trak Starz name... here's a short list of some of the records they've produced:
"Right Thurr", "One Call Away", "Holidae Inn" and the rest of Chingy's debut album Jackpot
"Me Against The Music" - Britney Spears feat. Madonna
"Splash Waterfalls" - Ludacris
"Do Your Time" - Ludacris
"I Like That: - Houston
Thats an extremely abridged version, as they've worked with hundreds upon hundreds of artists...
But anyways, I did two records with them and their artist, St. Louis native Tydis... it was an incredible experience. I slept on their couch, underneath 20 million records-sold worth of gold and platinum plaques... it was a very humbling experience. The Trak Starz were very impressed with what I did with their tracks, and you can expect to hear even more work from Kob/Trak Starz for sure... until then, watch for the songs "Alive" and "Zoom" from Kob feat.Tydis... Shoutout to DJ Warrior too!!
You do this for you, I do this for WE!! I love y'all, don't never forget that... R.I.P. Slugger, I hate to have to go through the rest of this journey without you, bro.
Here's Tydis' new single "Make Me Say"... check him out at Myspace.com/Tydis
'til next time, same Kob channel, same Kob time, you know what it is!

My roots...
It's always been a belief of mine that your surrounding raise you and build who you are as a person today... and I was lucky enough to have an extremely musically inclined family... my father plays bass guitar, my uncle Peter is an incredible pianist, my grandfather was a drummer.. the music goes back even further... so here are a few clips I just stumbled upon on youtube of some of my family playing music. This is where I come from... this is who I am... a 5th generation musician.. check it out!!
^^ this is my dad (back far right) playing bass guitar with ojibwe rock legend ojibwe rock legend Keith Secola on Madeline Island in August 2007 (Politician Winona LaDuke's Birthday)...
^^ here is my uncle Peter Schimke playing with his trio at the Artist's Quarter in St. Paul, MN.... one of the best pianists today.
Just imagine holiday jam sessions with those two, me on drums and my cousin Matt Harris (ska band The P. Lacquers) on saxophone... interesting combination, but incredible!!
