A taste of the Big Apple..

What it do??? I'm back in the Minneap after a three-day trip to New York City.. it was my first time there, and for anyone who hasn't been there... New Yorkers get it in. I have this theory of why Minnesota hip-hop isn't really on like it should be: Slow Motion and No-Motion are infectious. I think when people around you are working hard and grinding, it inspires you to do the same. I think the opposite is also true, so I'm gonna try to get some momentum and infect it to the Minnesota hip hop scene!! Shout out to all them other MN emcees that are doin' it though... Anyways I was in Manhattan with the legendary DJ Warrior and my road manager Varmah. We first went to Rockstar Games (makers of Grand Theft Auto, Midnight Club), where DJ Warrior had gotten song placement for a few artists on Midnight Club: Los Angeles. We then went to The Source Magazine and chopped it up with Mecca, one of the main writers. We went back to the hotel, got changed, and went to the Foundation Magazine DJ Day at Club Touch near Times Square. We did a lot of networking with some sick mixtape DJ's like DJ Smallz (Southern Smoke series), Superstar Jay and many others. I also ran into two emcees I knew of. One was Portland emcee Lil' Fats who I had listened to from time to time when I was younger, and monster New York battle-emcee and Smack DVD regular Math Hoffa. We chopped it up and me and Math gonna do a couple joints together, dope right?

Anyways, the next day we went to powerful booking agent Mark Cheatam's office at CAA and discussed potential tours when the next single drops (yeah, that's right, my new and Trak Starz produced single ft. Tydis is right around the corner!!). We visited SRC (home of Akon, Shotelle, Asher Roth and others) as well. It was an incredible trip and I want to go back for sure.

Anyways, I got some new tracks posted on the music player!!
